The mission of the AIR network is the transfer of innovative technologies, both as a spin-off and as a spin-in, between the aerospace sector and the industrial supply chain of the territory, in transversal applications with a high economic and social impact, putting the two in strong synergy systems with mutual and important advantages. Development of innovative technologies for access to orbit, space exploration, planetary colonization, global telecommunications on a terrestrial and extraterrestrial planetary scale
ADVANCED ON-BOARD SYSTEMS FOR SMALL SATELLITES IN THE NEW SPACE ECONOMY
Development of equipment and software for next-generation on-board systems for small low-cost satellites in the New Space Economy including new payloads, propulsion systems, telecommunications systems.
SPACE EXPLORATION
Development of innovative low-density and high-strength materials for flight systems and bases for robotic and human exploration of space
STRENGTHENING
Development of innovative technologies for the exploitation of resources in extraterrestrial sites
CLEAN & SAFE SPACE
Development of technologies aimed at increasing the efficiency and reducing the environmental impact of the components of flight systems for the atmosphere and for space in line with European and international objectives (reduction of consumption, CO2 emissions, noise levels , technologies for recycling). Optimization of living conditions for long-lasting missions, with specific objectives dedicated to the safe design of living environments
LIFE IN THE SPACE AND FOOD ENVIRONMENT
Development of living environments capable of recreating terrestrial-like conditions in terms of ventilation, lighting, sound and noise, for long stays on board flight systems or in extraterrestrial bases. Design and development of techniques for the preparation and preservation of food for long-term missions.
