I41 is a general-purpose incremental encoder. It combines robustness with fine resolution and provides versatility and performance as required by a large number of industrial applications.
This optical encoder comes in a plastic enclosure with 40.5 mm (1.594") diameter flange and 6 mm (0.236”) or 6.35 mm (1/4”) solid shaft. The standard protection level is IP64 but it can be reinforced to IP65 and IP66 (on shaft end) as an option.
The latest electronics upgrade has improved performances. Position information is provided in square wave format via NPN o.c., PNP o.c., Push-Pull, Line Driver, and Universal output circuits and cable radial / axial outlet (even with DSub 9 pin integral connector at the end). The choice of resolutions is very wide and ranges from 1 to 4,096 PPR.
